Did you ever think that you would marry someone you met at nursery school? Well, this is what happened for Saya and Shinai! They first met when they attended the Co-op in the early 1990’s. Saya ended up moving back to Japan shortly after.
In 2012 their Co-op teacher, Rosie Kamal, linked them back together when Saya was visiting Boston while attending the University of Oregon.
They have been juggling a long distance blossoming relationship between the US and Japan since then! And the stars aligned! We are happy to say that they were married on October 8, 2022, an exquisitely beautiful fall day, at the Endicott Estate in Dedham, MA, surrounded by family and friends. We are delighted that Saya and Shinai themselves announced their relationship in their wedding invitation as a “Corner Co-op Love Story.”
We all wish Saya and Shinai a long life together with much happiness, health and fulfillment!
